Melanie Hui leads the Cassia Foundation, which represents the philanthropy of New Zealand investor and entrepreneur Richard Chandler. The foundation discovers and resources champions on the frontlines of human development. Its goal is to enable individuals and communities to translate their creative potential into prosperity and well-being. Prior to joining the Cassia Foundation, Melanie managed corporate communications at the Clermont Group, a multibillion-dollar investment firm. Her previous experience also includes leading the CleanWater Foundation, where she launched a safe water micro-franchise serving rural communities in Bangladesh. She started her career in external affairs at the World Bank, and served as the Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor of the Asian University for Women. Melanie holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
